Advocacy Speech & Poster for Clean Lakes Alliance
This was one of my favorite projects because it combined public speaking, research, and visual communication. I wrote and delivered a persuasive speech advocating for clean water initiatives, emphasizing the importance of community action in protecting the Yahara River Watershed. In addition to the speech, I designed a poster to visually reinforce key points and engage my audience.
Through this project, I developed my ability to present compelling arguments, structure persuasive messages, and use visual storytelling to enhance communication. It was a powerful experience that taught me how to advocate for important causes in a way that resonates with both policymakers and the public.
Personal Website
I created a personal website from scratch using HTML and CSS. This project was my first deep dive into web development and digital design. At that time I was a first-year student so I didn't put much professional stuff, it's more about my personal profile.
Building this website helped me understand the importance of design, structure, and usability in web communication. I also learned how to write clean code, organize content effectively, and enhance accessibility using alt-text and styling principles. This experience continues to influence how I think about digital storytelling and user experience.
